“Pete” Elizabeth Porter

Elizabeth “Pete” Terhune Porter passed away at Good Samaritan Society in Hot Springs Village on December 2, 2015. Mrs. Porter was born September 27, 1921 in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

After her graduation from Wellesley College, Pete worked in New York City where she met her late husband, Cyril Jones Porter, to whom she was married for sixty-nine years. Pete and Cy were dedicated members of Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church. Throughout her life Pete was an avid reader, bridge player and longtime member of American Association of University Women (AAUW).

Mrs. Porter is survived by her three daughters: Sally (Albert) Seward, Susan (Tom) Mann, and Cindy (Bill) Hagy. Also surviving are five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Pete will be at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, April 6^th at Good Samaritan Chapel, with Pastor Jim Burns officiating.
